Arizona residents continue to struggle with bankruptcy in 2010

Although many are optimistic about the economy, Arizona residents have reported a high number of bankuptcy filings and credit card debt.

In 2010, a record number of bankruptcy filings were recorded in Phoeniz, Ariz. reaching 31,207. This number is higher than previous highs that were reported in 2005.

Some have said that the many residents are using credit cards to make large monthly purchases and have had to file for bankruptcy as a result. The economic turn down has hit the Western states very hard.
