Bankruptcy in Businesses Improves

by Administrator 30. March 2011 04:18

Businesses in the U.S. have been seeing improvement in their financial situations as business failures and bankruptcies have decreased. In 2010, the number of business bankruptcies that were filed was down by 5% as compared to 2009. Also, the number of business failures decreased by 13.5%.

This improvement in business finances could mean that the economy as a whole is improving. However, some have warned that a too-slow recovery could result in another downturn as more businesses will fail and file for bankruptcy. Also, in states like Arizona, business delinquency rates are still extremely high.

Overall, while businesses are improving their finances, they are still nowhere near operating as they did before the economic downturn.
