Can creditors continue to harass you after a bankruptcy filing?

by Administrator 11. February 2010 06:31

Once individuals file for bankruptcy, they are afforded many protections. One of these protections is a requirement that creditors stop harassing bankruptcy filers.

In most cases, this menas that creditors cannot contact filers about payments or initiate any lawsuits. However, some creditors like banks may keep a lien on a car until the payments are made.

If you or anyone you know has questions about your bankruptcy filing, contact the Arizona bankruptcy lawyers of the Harmon Law Office at 480-829-0494.
