Can you pay off your debts after you file for bankruptcy?

by Administrator 23. February 2010 06:40

Many individuals file for bankruptcy for the purpose of discharging some of their debts. However, this does not mean that bankruptcy filers cannot repay some of their debts.

In some cases, individuals choose to repay some debts so that they can keep valuable assets like cars. The voluntary repayment of assets does not include debts that are part of the Reaffirmation Agreement, which bankruptcy filers are required to repay.

If you are considering filing for bankruptcy, contact the Arizona consumer bankruptcy attorneys of the Harmon Law Office at 480-829-0494.
