Founder of Window Company Facing Personal Bankruptcy

by Administrator 2. March 2011 02:13

The founder of a Pennsylvania window repair and replacement company, Harvey Goodman, has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy after accumulating millions of dollars in debt, and owing hundreds of thousands of dollars to a credit card company.

By filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, Goodman will be allowed to keep all of his personal assets, including a $1 million home he owns in Florida. Also, this type of bankruptcy usually allows for the debtor to pay back their creditors in six months or less.

In addition to personal debt, it has also been reported that several customers of the company have paid for windows but not yet received them, causing the start of a criminal investigation into the business's practices. However, customers are currently receiving money back on their deposits for window installations from the company.
