Phoenix-area media holdings sale approved by bankruptcy court

A number of Phoenix-area media holdings were sold to a Colorado company Tuesday. According to court reports, the sale was approved by a bankruptcy court. 

The bankruptcy judge approved the sale made by Freedom Communications, an Irvine, Calif. company. The sale included the East Valley Tribune, Ahwatukee Foothills News, and the Sun City Daily News.
