Schomac Group Inc. files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy

Schomoac Group Inc. has filed for Chapter 11 bankrupty in an Arizona court. The company is the owner of Feather River Inn in Eastern Plumas County and owes the Plumas County Tax Collector money as well as multiple other businesses.

A family controls the Tuscon-based company and have filed the court papers. The papers show that among the 20 largest creditors is an attorney in the High Sierra Rural Alliance group.

The papers also show that the family owes $430,000 in back interest, property taxes and other penalities. Other local creditors include, Almanor Energy, Big Fish Creations, Portola Motor Parts, and White Cap Ready Mix.
